We at Stentors believe that our job enables us to put our know-how to good use and give back to the community we live in. We dedicate a considerable portion of our time and work to help the community. In addition to supporting our staff in their volunteering efforts, we encourage them to become personally involved in civil society groups and offer their services for a noble cause. We put our professional and personal development at the same level as our company’s responsibility for the welfare of the community we live in. Vladimír Kordoš, one of the senior partners of our law firm, has been an active supporter of the Pontis Foundation. The foundation runs a program called ‘Pro Bono Attorneys’, bringing together law firms and nonprofit organisations to provide pro bono legal services to NPOs. As part of this program and its online consulting, we have advised two NPOs - Radostná práca, o. z. on their lease agreement, and helped Pražská kaviareň z.s. to draft their proposal for an amendment to the Election Act, to enable Slovaks living abroad to vote via mail. We also advised them on how to collect membership fees and how to do business (operate an indoor climbing wall) as an NPO. We have been long-time supporters of NEMO, a civic association supporting education, sport, and science at elementary schools and development of local communities. We are also part of the Summer School of Legal Skills, held and organised annually by the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava. |
